Published for the first time, this book commences a series on Ukrainian antiquities from private collections. Presented here are artistic objects from the Hutsul and Pokuttia regions that have been preserved in private collections in Lviv: icons on glass, candles, wooden and metal crosses, chalices and bowls from the last century. These examples from come Ukrainian daily and religious life, with all their rituals and symbols. The book also includes the history of the restoration and preservation of these pieces by three branches of Lviv collectors, since, under the Soviet Union, collecting such works of Ukrainian artists from the Carpathian regions carried a great risk. The publication is in Ukrainian and English.
